Bridal Jewellry

A bride looks beautiful in whatever she wears (This is the best part about weddings and the reason why I magically get carried off with it!). Real or Artificial, heavy or scanty you will look perfect. Even then this is my attempt to enlighten you with the variety available in the market.

Artificial:
The best part about Mumbai is that you get artificial jewelry for all budgets (Right from Rs 500 to Rs 10,000). You can also rent them from the stores for obvious reasons that you won’t wear such heavy (also read: expensive) sets often post marriage. I personally do not like the concept of renting out my wedding jewelry. I would prefer to buy something cheap and preserve it all my life! But if you are amongst those practical brides – go for it! There is nothing wrong in it and will be amazingly cost effective – Use that money in getting things you care about like your dream photographer!!
 Real:
Indian weddings esp Maharashtrian weddings will be incomplete without real jewelry. Here are a few options:
1)      Gold: (Starts from: Rs 50,000)*
I had this wrong notion that gold jewelry is boring and do not go well with a Lehnga or a designer saree. But the gold variety available in the market dumbfounded me! Check out these beautiful gold collections:

2)      Pearls: (Starts from: Rs 40,000)*
A beautiful lucrative option if your parents (like mine) insists, on you wearing real jewelry. These pearls compliment the yellow saree worn by the maharashtrian bride during her pheras:

3)      Diamonds: (Starts from: Rs 1,75,000)*

4)      Rubies, Emeralds & Sapphires: (Starts from: Rs 1,25,000)*
They are cheaper than Diamonds, look elegant and something different than the regular stuff. Just that you need to search a lot to find, your perfect set.

5)      Kundan & Meenakari (Starts from: Rs 1,30,000):
They add an ethnic touch to the ornaments which one cannot take their eyes off!!
