My Engagement Photo Book

Lets start the wedding madness with my "first" engagement pictures. Ok now I dint plan to have 2 engagements. This was supposed to be the only final one. Why did I have two? Well, the details shall follow in the next post. For today, I shall just let the pictures do the talking! Hope you guys like them ;)

Getting ready pictures

Getting ready pictures
I reached the venue pretty much on time. My MIL was late and she asked me to stay in my room till they reached. I dint plan to take my gala time but still was just ready by the time they reached the hotel. God saved me by making my MIL late! ;)

Finally got the groom!!
I was late for my own engagement. I am terribly ashamed for this fact. (Although later my cousin said my timing was perfect!) The groom waited for a long long time. When I saw him, instead of complimenting me, he told me how late I was. I hate being late and quickly started rushing towards the banquet hall. The guy and his family were coming in the other lift just behind us. I entered the hall thinking he was next to me - I was that guilty than nervous. The guy disappeared nowhere and I was stranded alone with all the guests staring at me! Most of the crowd knew that he was ready since a long time. I was all confused when people started asking me where he was. As soon as he entered everybody started laughing looking at our expressions.

Engagement Cake

I could only eat a tiny bite of this cake. Although, everybody still talks about the cake. I aint kidding they loved it that much!!

A few days after the engagement, one of my close friends told me that the best part about our engagement for her was that we both were holding our hands throughout! I still remember I dint leave him for a second.

This pic was taken towards the end.. But I still love it!

The real us! :P
I loved these candid shots which brings out the real us!

Just wanted to show the back of the dress
We went to everybody's table to meet them. Wanted to do something different than the regular meeting on stage. Although this is only possible when you have a tiny guest list. We could spend a fair time with all of them.
The ring thali. Conceptualised by yours truly
Even after a lot of planning, this thali was made on the day of the engagement. My cousins helped me with it! It was made with a small cane plate (found it at home), satin cloth, leftover lace, mogra kalis and rose petals. I loved the final outcome coz you dont find these things in the market and are unique to your wedding.

The whole lehenga pic!!

PS: I am not as fat as I look in this pic. Nevertheless, I was so happy on the engagement day that I barely cared about the added inch ;)

PS: I only wanted to make this post a photo book but I guess its too difficult for me to shut up. ;)

    1. As mentioned at the start of the post, I had 2 engagements coz even my parents feel the same as you! The 2nd engagement was a typical traditional maharashtrian engagement. Read this to know why I had 2 engagements: http://www.marathiweddings.com/2013/03/the-tale-of-two-engagements.html
