MW Tip: I always feel one should not choose a popular spot as a honeymoon destination. Kerala is beautiful all over. You can visit the spice valley or the tea estates or walk through the sea in low tide to the Dharmadam island (I hear its a secluded beach) or stay in the jungle in Perriyar. There is so much to explore!
The following are the Top five honeymoon worthy destinations in Kerala:

- Munnar a beautiful hill station. Nearest airport/railway station at Kochi.
- Thekkady Rich Jungles of Periyar Wildlife Sanctury. My in-laws loved the Spice Village resort in Thekkady.
- Alleppy Famous for its Backwaters and house boats.
- Kovalam Famous for its beaches.
- Poovar Islands Lies Southern tip of Kerala and has a beautiful beach! One of my friends highly recommended the place to me. She said that the beach has water on both sides and it was just them on the beach that time.

Personally, I would hate to travel a lot on my honeymoon. On all other tours, you wont see me without a map and a day tour plan! I love exploring new places. If I were to go on a honeymoon to Kerala, I would just stay at The Leela in Kovalam for 3 days and then go to Poovar island resort for another 3 days. Alternatively, Munnar, Thekkady and Alleppy for 2 nights each seems like a good plan for people who would love traveling on their honeymoon! If you can spend about 10 days or more in Kerala, you can visit all the 5 places mentioned above.
