Soch Store Review

After the Ritu Kumar store I went to check out the Soch Red Dot Sale. The Soch team had placed mannequins with beautiful anarkalis and sarees throughout the mall. So I couldn't resist.

I started with the Anarkali's. There was just enough variety. I found some nice floor length Anarkali's at a jaw dropping price of 7K ONLY! I also spotted this subtle Anarkali (very classy) for ~3.5K - available in Black+Red, Purple+Green.

While I entered the trial room, the SA handed over this plain electric blue Floor length Anarkali which had blingy stone-work on the neck.

I spotted this only lehenga  in the store at a flabbergasting price of ~7K after discount. Yes a Lehenga under 10K!! I love the combo. The top is made up of hot pink raw silk material with subtle work on the neck. Just need a pair of dangling earrings and loads of hot pink bangles. The white net Lehenga with a black border and a hint of pink is just perfect for a sister of the bride/groom outfit. Although, since this is a sale item, the lehenga will need a little polishing - the buttons were loosened. The size is XL but the top is such that it can easily be altered at your local tailor.

I also checked out some sarees in the range of 8-10K. They were nice too. But nothing too great to mention. I liked the sarees on the mannequins in the mall more than those on their racks.

What I like about the store:

• Ample space to breathe in.
• You have to help your self to see the Anarkalis hanged on the rack. I am more comfortable with this as I can take my own time to judge an outfit that I like. Added advantage - The SA is just standing next to you in case you need help.
• The price range is wide. There is something for everybody.

Marathi Weddings tip: Always try your garments before you buy. Usually during Sale, to avoid the long que for a trial room you buy it right away. The above black n red outfit seemed perfect to me for my taste. When I tried it I found out that the red is transparent and the cups were being exposed as it was between the lining and the red material. So TRY before you BUY!
