Wonder what happened to all the shopping I did during my frequent visits to the Mangaldas market a few months ago? It was all for these beautiful hand picked sarees that I wanted to make. I made these sarees for my sister-in-laws as a Diwali gift to add a personal touch. They absolutely loved them.
Marathi Weddings tip: The most important thing to remember in a DIY saree is the colour. If you are able to crack that right colour, everything else is easy to manage. This saree in Part one is very simple and easy to do. Everyone liked it so much because of the colour combination. You will have to make a lot of on the spot decisions in limited lighting available. Also, you will rarely get an exact shade as seen in your mobile picture.
